ktyART protects its copyright.
In the age of electronic transfer and display, artists have to be very careful of
their products and designs. I have tried to give all users access to my artwork,
however if you are only using ktyART for free items your inventory is restricted.
ktyART (Kate Andersen) remains the copyright holder of ALL original images.
This means you cannot claim it as your own work, or on sell the image to other parties
or make this image available to others in any media. You cannot display original
images for public viewing or comment except with the permission of the artist.

Free
images (Freestuff, Freebies)
NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE
Free items online are the staple of computer graphic artists and designers.
Free items give you the ability to learn and grow without expense and this ktyART
supports wholeheartedly. However, if you are a professional artist or designer then
I suggest you visit the STORE to get the full range of products and sets available.
When you download a free image item I give you license to use the free image
for personal use and for educational purposes and for fair use in accordance with
international copyright law.
Examples of LEGITIMATE use:
- John downloads a free image and uses it to create a background
for his daughter’s
birthday card.
- Jane downloads a free image and uses it in her project at school.
- Jane uses an image she downloaded for free and uses it in a new artwork.
She posts
the new image on the internet for comment and notes the background came from ktyART.com.au. She does not sell the image.
Examples of a BREACH of license:
- Jane uses a downloaded free image to complete a website she is
working on for her business.
- Jane creates a poster using a ktyART free image and she has her final product for
sale.
- John cuts out a section of a free image and uses it as a postcard to sell on eBay.
- Kathy cuts out a tube from a free image and sells this online.
In all the above breach example cases, use should use the STORE to buy images you
can use for commercial use. I have a freebie section to give you an idea of the
quality and style of artwork and to help you learn. Cheating me or yourself helps
no-one.
See links below for information on copyright, fair use and license agreements.
